It has been a tradition for about a year that Daddy & Kiersten go out on dates. Sometimes it's to the park or Burger King or to get ice cream, which for Kiersten is just great. She just loves spending time with the best dad in the world. However, we did some planning last month to create a surprise date with Daddy to Disney on Ice...Princess Wishes. They started the evening by going to a children's exhibit where Kiersten was able to surf, teach school, be a doctor, a lifeguard, a mechanic and the President of the United States in the Oval Office.
Still not knowing where they were headed next, Daddy surprised her with letting her put on her Sleeping Beauty costume for the remainder of their date. Then on they went to eat dinner...a hot dog, of course, as that is Kiersten's favorite food these days. Then Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty entered the palace for the show. At one point in the evening, I text messaged Daddy to see if Kiersten was enjoying herself. His reply back..."best Daddy Daughter date ever!" Her words to him at least twice during the evening followed by a kiss. I will admit in my pregnant hormonal state that tears came to my eyes when I read that!! He really is the best Dad around and certainly both mine and my little girl's Prince Charming!
